Canadian Youth Business Foundation
The CYBF is a national non-profit organization that supports the next generation of business leaders by helping youth help themselves.
HRDC Wage Subsidy Programs
There are a few programs that serve to subsidize the cost of new employees. The site provides information on these programs.
Business Development Bank of Canada
BDC provides specialized funding for commercially viable business projects as well as a wide range of business counselling and training services.
Canada Small Business Financing Program
The makes it easier for small businesses to get loans from financial institutions by sharing the risk with lenders. The maximum loan amount for a borrower is $1.15 million.
• Up to a maximum of $1,000,000 for term loans for any one borrower, of which no more than $500,000 can be used for purchasing leasehold improvements or improving leased property and purchasing or improving new or used equipment and of that amount, a maximum of $150,000 could be used for intangible assets and working capital costs.
• Up to a maximum of $150,000 for lines of credit.

This program is designed to help bring new products and services to market through financial support for early stage research and development.
FedNor Youth Internship Program
Encourages employers to provide young northerners with education-related job experience, ideally leading to permanent full-time employment within Northern Ontario.
Ontario Arts Council Granting Programs & Awards
The OAC is Ontario's primary funding body for professional arts activities. The OAC supports both individual artists and organizations. Three types of grants are available.
