The ministry of natural resources and forestry has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement. Based on the increased temperatures and expected precipitation, increasing flows and levels may result in river ice break-up and increase flood risk in areas prone to ice jamming. Municipal public works crews are taking steps to increase drainage throughout the municipality. The municipal staff are currently in a state of enhanced monitoring. If you observe an issue that needs attention, please contact public works foreman Scott Toebes at (705)-497-6169.
