Constructed in 1920 in memory of "Our Boys who fell in the Great War 1914 - 1918". The monument was erected and paid for by The Imperial Order of Daughters of the Empire, Powassan Chapter. The names of those from the community who gave their lives during the Second World War 1939 - 1945 were subsequently added. The inscription "Remembering those who fell in Korea" was also added. In 1990, the document was completely refurbished by Sanderson Monuments.
