The Municipality of Powassan would again like to thank our residents for doing their part to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Following the guidance of the Health Unit and the re-opening guidelines set out by the province, the decision has been made to open the beach at the Hydro Pond for public access.

Please remember that you are still required to maintain appropriate physical distancing and that groups of more than 5 people are prohibited. If the beach is too crowded to maintain distancing, please return at a later time.

Additionally, there will be no access to public washrooms or change facilities at the present time. Options are being researched by staff to be able to open and maintain these facilities safely.
